I went out!

I went out (on my own!) today, for only the second time since we came here in December. The first time doesn’t count because it was to Aldi one evening.

It was sooooo good. I also got my hair cut for the first time since we got here. (That was the purpose of the trip out). That is also soooo good. I’d cut the ends off myself a month or so ago, but it was a bit uneven 😂.

I went out on my own. It was awesome. I talked to God without interruption, I listened. I thought, I looked at things. It was gooooood.

I have underestimated the power of this sort of break. It was about 2 1/2 hours and it really was needed.

I talked to an adult on my own. I am actually an individual.. not just a mum and wife. Now, don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love my kids.. But! In 4 years I have never really had any time to myself. Just been with them.. and it wears you out!

Take a break and then go back is now my advice… haha.

Hello!! (Please no comments about ooh it looks lovely (or not))

See you soon!

  1. Hi Cathy, I haven’t read your posts for a while, and stumbled across them again. Hair looks great by the way!
And yes, you absolutely have to have a break on your own now and again. I try and take a little run twice a week for that very reason. Some me time and obviously doing some exercise is a plus too. Good for the mind and body!
    Take care!

    1. Thanks. It’s lovely to hear from you. Yes, it’s definitely important, just difficult to do sometimes. Effort is definitely required!
