It seems strange to think we’ve been here about the same time as a pregnancy. It’s going very quickly.
Over the last week we’ve had an outdoor baptism in a lake, which was awesome. Worshipping outside is always cool but the baptism itself was a real privilege to be part of.
At home, Chris has prepared the back for the poly tunnel. We’re waiting now for concrete etc to be delivered before putting it up.
We actually have a bit of produce, the carrots are ready and some of the beetroot are finally ready and we’ve been eating both. J keeps going and getting carrots, washing them under the outdoor tap and then eating them straight away. The potatoes were a complete failure this year, but the peas and broccoli have been quite prolific.
We’ve acquired a kitten, he was lost and came to our house, he did have owners but they’ve let us have him. He’s very pretty. J is fairly obsessed with him at the moment.
And poor Chris got something in his eye on Thursday and we had to go to Sligo hospital to get it removed, then we had to return today for it to be checked and then he has one more (we hope) check later this week. It’s a lot less painful than it was which is a good sign. We now have medical cards, which I’m very glad about because it meant the treatment was free. Apparently there’s a flat rate of €100 to show up at accident and emergency, I’m not sure how it works after that, for extra treatment etc.
There’s quite a lot more I could talk about really, but I’ll leave it there for now. I think it’s going to be a fairly busy week this week so have a good one yourselves!
This is one I and probably a lot of people need to obey and believe at the moment. We were reading it earlier:
Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. (Matthew 6:34).
Trust.
and pray.
