Fantasy vs Reality.

I was thinking yesterday afternoon and my thoughts basically went like this. Fantasy (us fantasising about things/situations/relationships/life) is often much better than actual life. It never quite happens how we imagine or often how we would like. Or the reality is so utterly different to how we imagined it. But with Jesus. It is actually the direct opposite. You get so much more than what you imagine or think. In fact, I don’t think we are capable of actually getting the utter reality of Jesus until we actually meet Him when we die. He gives so much more than we can imagine. He is so much better than our imagination/feelings.

I love the verse in the bible that goes;

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us,… (Ephesians 3:20).

God is so much more than all we ask for or imagine… Why don’t you ponder that for a while? Sit on it, think about it, ask God about it. Jesus never lets us down, He’s already done all that is required for us to know Him without hindrance. (Think Rick Astley.) Life with Him may be hard sometimes as well as beautiful. Your very essence and everything you were never bothered about can become very real issues to be dealt with. But the promise is that he never leaves us nor forsakes us, he doesn’t leave us as orphans but puts us into families, He completes what He starts in us, He restores and redeems us, He gives us life, He gives us hope, He gives us love.

If you don’t know Him, I can reassure you that He will answer if you talk to Him. If you google (or whatever search engine you use) the above phrases, you will find them in the bible. Plus many, many more.

Again, the real Jesus is so much better than our imagination.

See ya!

Cathy.
